AIPC is pleased to provide a draft report of our new Aquidneck Island Bicycle Wayfinding Project. AIPC developed this draft plan with input from municipal staff, bike advocates and tourism experts in Middletown, Portsmouth and Newport.

The wayfinding study began as a recommendation in AIPC’s 2011 Aquidneck Island Transportation Study (AITS), which proposed a network of signed on-road cycling routes to make getting around the island by bicycle more convenient and attractive for Islanders and visitors alike.

Stay tuned for workshops in each community in early 2018. Following this public input process, we expect to finalize the report and present the proposal to municipal Councils for endorsement.
